Chronology

  1. 1972 The Okumura design office is founded.
  2. 1978 Akio and Makoto Okumura found the Mitake Woodworking company (Mitake Mokkōsho) in Kiso.
  3. 1987 The woodworking company merges with the 1972 design office and takes the name Kiso Mitake Okumura Design Office.
  4. 2004 The company name changes to KAJART.
  5. Today The workshop in Mitake, Kiso continues to make the furniture of Akio Okumura and Tsuguto Yoshida.
