Two designers, one workshop
The furniture of KAJART follows two lineages: chairs and tables designed by the architect Akio Okumura (1928–2012), and the designs of Tsuguto Yoshida, who trained under him. Both are made in the same workshop in Mitake, Kiso — the same timber and the same hands carry both bodies of work forward.

Material
The workshop works in solid timbers such as mizunara oak and Japanese chestnut, finished with restrained matte clear lacquers that let the grain speak.
Continuity of production
Furniture has been made here since the company was founded in 1978. The C606 Hanpen Chair has been in continuous production since 1976.
